We started because too many people felt overwhelmed by their finances. Now we help families across New South Wales have honest conversations about budgets without the confusion or judgment.
Back in 2018, I kept running into the same problem at family gatherings. Someone would mention their finances, and everyone would get quiet. Not because they didn't care, but because talking about money felt uncomfortable. Too personal. Too complicated.
That's when it clicked. Financial advice didn't need to be formal or intimidating. It needed to feel like sitting down with someone who actually listens and explains things in plain English.
So we set up shop in Orange and started having those conversations. Seven years later, we're still at it. Same approach, just with a lot more experience under our belt.

We don't hand you a generic budget template and call it a day. Every household has its own rhythm, its own priorities. Our job is figuring out what works for yours.
We dig into your actual spending patterns, not what you think you should be spending. Sometimes the numbers tell a surprising story.
Life changes. Budgets need to change with it. We build systems that adapt when kids start school, when jobs shift, or when unexpected things pop up.
You don't figure this stuff out in one session. We're here for follow-up questions, adjustments, and those moments when the plan needs a tweak.

Budget Education Specialist
Been working with household budgets since 2012, mostly with families trying to get their finances organized without feeling like they're missing out on life. Studied financial planning at CSU, but learned most of what matters from actually sitting down with people.
What I enjoy most is when someone realizes their budget can actually work for them instead of against them. That moment when the numbers start making sense and the stress drops a bit? That's why I do this.
Outside the office, I'm usually hiking around Mount Canobolas or trying to keep my vegetable garden alive. My partner says I'm better with budgets than tomatoes, which is probably fair.
If you're feeling stuck with your finances or just want someone to look over your budget without judging your coffee habit, come have a chat. First conversation is always relaxed.
If we catch ourselves using terms that sound like they came from a banking textbook, we stop and rephrase. Your money shouldn't require a dictionary to understand.
We can't magically create money that isn't there. But we can help you see where your money is actually going and make informed choices about redirecting it.
Your financial information stays between us. No sharing details, no gossiping, no awkward run-ins at Woolworths where someone knows your business.
A budget that works most of the time beats a perfect budget you abandon after two weeks. We're building systems you'll actually stick with.
We're running practical workshops throughout 2025 and 2026, covering everything from basic budget setup to managing irregular income. Most sessions are in Orange, some in Bathurst.
